Andrew Mangino

Andrew Mangino is an award-winning social entrepreneur and the co-founder and CEO of the Office of American Possibilities, the nation’s first civic moonshot launchpad. He brings bold ideas and unlikely allies together to solve public challenges in a spirit of common purpose.

His passion for In Pursuit grows from a lifelong fascination with Presidential history and narrative psychology, especially the practice of life reviews: treating history as an experiment and distilling lessons from the past to shape a better future.

Andrew has helped launch more than a dozen national and global initiatives designed to unlock human potential and renew civic life. These include Welcome.us, built with President and Mrs. Obama and President and Mrs. Bush to support refugee resettlement; More Perfect, a cross-partisan alliance to renew American democracy and home to In Pursuit; Frontline Justice, a national effort to close the civic justice gap and expand access to justice workers; Bedrock, a national alliance to reduce hate-fueled violence; Promise Prize, a forthcoming global prize celebrating the power of young people to change the world; Be The People, a nationwide campaign to awaken the American spirit in the lead-up to America’s 250th anniversary; and The Future Project, a national project to help young people build lives of passion and purpose.

Andrew is the former Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Daily News, a Marshall Scholar at the University of Oxford, a Draper Richards Kaplan Fellow, and one of the youngest recipients of the Ashoka Fellowship.
